What to Expect When Working with Covered Creations
Covered Creations understands the importance of providing local homeowners and businesses with high-end window treatments at affordable prices. We have been serving the DFW area since 1986 and are here to help you outfit your windows with premium Hunter Douglas custom window treatments. You may be wondering what to expect if you’ve never worked with us. We make the process easy and fun by walking you through the whole process, from consultation to installation and beyond.
Consultation
We need to know your specific wants and needs to serve you best. One of our window treatment specialists will meet you at your home or office to discuss which shades and blinds best suit your needs. We’ll chat about light control and energy efficiency while ensuring our suggestions match your style. You’ll receive an email with our quote, and we’ll be happy to begin working on your window treatments upon receipt of a deposit.
Installation
When the big day arrives, we need access to your windows, so please have any furniture, brush, and other debris cleared ahead of time. You can rely on our professional installers to treat your home with the same care and respect that you do. If you’re equipping your new window treatments with PowerView® Automation, you’ll need to have the PowerView® app downloaded on your phone or tablet.
There never seem to be enough hours in the day, so if you cannot be home during your installation, it’s no problem. We need permission to enter your home and any special instructions, such as a garage or alarm code. If you have pets, please put them in a separate space for their safety and ours. Our installers will be entering and leaving your home several times, and we’d hate for your furry friend to sneak out. You must pay your balance in full once the installation is complete. If you aren’t home, we’re happy to take a check or charge the card you used to make your deposit.
Timetable
The timetable for your new window treatments varies with the size of the project and the materials needed. All Hunter Douglas window coverings are made to order, so the time between your order and delivery will vary, but we’ll always do our best to get your new shades or blinds delivered and installed as quickly as possible.
Service & Warranty
Hunter Douglas window treatments set the industry standard for quality and performance, but parts and service for your shades, shutters, or blinds are covered for one year following installation. After a year, the parts are covered under a lifetime warranty; a nominal service charge will apply for travel time and repairs.
